Grace is a theatre director from North Yorkshire. (she/her) 

 

Her passion lies in work that evokes a sense of wonder, to heighten the imagination and include the audience as conspirators in storytelling. This includes working with fantasy stories, puppetry, and musical theatre. Having grown up in the rural Dales, she is concerned with making work for more isolated communities and sharing northern voices. 

 

She studied English Literature and Drama at the University of Manchester, before going on to pursue a freelance career in directing and stage management. She trained in Puppetry with the Little Angel Theatre, is a member of the Young Vic’s Genesis Directors’ Programme, and co-founder of Ensemble Estate, a theatre company founded in Manchester with a focus on collaborative rehearsal and devising processes.
